AKRON, Ohio — Police are searching for a suspect after gunfire erupted inside a crowded bar during a concert early Monday, leaving three people injured, two critically.
The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. at the Field House Lounge on Paul Williams Street. According to authorities, off-duty uniformed officers working security at the venue heard gunshots and immediately called for backup.

Upon entering, officers discovered two victims—a 36-year-old man and an 18-year-old male—both suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital, where they remain in critical condition. A third victim, a 25-year-old man, later arrived at an emergency room with a graze wound. None of the victims’ names have been released.
Investigators say the violence stemmed from a fight that broke out during a concert at the venue, which was reportedly featuring rapper Torence “Boosie” Ivy Hatch Jr. Promotional flyers for the event circulated on social media prior to the incident.
This is not the first time violence has been linked to a concert involving the rapper. In August 2024, two people were fatally shot before an outdoor performance where Boosie was also scheduled to appear.
