A Cleveland firefighter is facing serious criminal charges following his indictment by a Cuyahoga County grand jury in connection with two separate assaults earlier this year.

Carlos L. Jordan, 32, was indicted on one count of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and one count of misdemeanor assault, court records show. The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred in February and on or around May 1 in Cleveland.
Jordan was arrested on May 14 by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force while on duty at Fire Station 40 on St. Clair Avenue. He was booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail following the arrest.
According to the Cleveland Department of Public Safety, Jordan has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the investigation. He has been a member of the Cleveland Division of Fire since 2021.
Jordan is scheduled to be arraigned in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas on June 20. Further details about the alleged assaults have not yet been released.
