Cleveland Metroparks Police are investigating the deaths of two individuals discovered in a vehicle late Saturday night near Mastick Woods Golf Course.
Officers located the vehicle around 11 p.m. in a parking lot within the park. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the deceased as Barbara Conroy, 78, and Dennis Raymond Conroy, 81, both residents of Brooklyn.
According to the medical examiner, Barbara Conroy was the victim of a homicide. Initial findings from Cleveland Metroparks Police suggest the incident was a murder-suicide.
A police report indicates that both individuals sustained gunshot wounds to the head, with a firearm discovered on Dennis Conroy’s lap.
Authorities have not released additional details as the investigation continues.
