After more than 25 years as a cornerstone of Cleveland’s nightlife, Velvet Dog has announced it will be closing its doors for good. Located on West 6th Street, the popular nightclub shared the news on social media, inviting patrons to join them for their final two weekends before the venue’s last call on February 1.

“After more than 25 unforgettable years, it’s time to say goodbye,” the club wrote. “Join us for our final last call as we close the doors for good. Enjoy the final two weekends with us and come out for one last drink, shot, and dance.”
Known for its vibrant atmosphere, dance floor, and iconic rooftop, Velvet Dog has long been a favorite destination for Cleveland partygoers. As part of the farewell, the rooftop will be open for photo opportunities during the club’s final days.
