Early Tuesday morning, a stolen Kia crashed into the front lobby of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank on Coit Road, shattering glass and causing significant damage to the newly constructed facility.
Cleveland police reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle before it smashed into the distribution hub. The driver fled the scene before officers arrived, and no injuries were reported.
An employee at the food bank suggested the crash appeared intentional, noting that the car did not belong to any staff members. Despite the incident, a spokesperson for the food bank confirmed that operations remain unaffected.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
