A 42-year-old man died after being shot early Christmas Eve on East 13th Street, between Chester and Superior Avenues in downtown Cleveland. Officers from the Cleveland Division of Police responded to reports of gunfire around 3 a.m. and found the victim lying unconscious in the street.
He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released his identity. The roadway remained closed for several hours overnight as investigators processed the scene. The Cleveland Division of Police continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
