CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police are investigating a double shooting that left a 74-year-old woman dead and sent an 18-year-old man to the hospital early Saturday morning. According to a statement from Mayor Khalil Seren’s office, officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. to a residence in the 3500 block of Randolph Road following a report of two people shot.

When officers arrived, they found the elderly woman with a fatal gunshot wound to her head. The 18-year-old victim was discovered with a gunshot wound to his leg and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
As of now, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made. Investigators do not believe this incident was random, but a motive has not been determined.
