A Cleveland family is left frustrated and on edge after their van was stolen right from their driveway, an incident captured on their home security camera.

The theft occurred Friday on Marvin Avenue as Tina’s husband left the van running to warm it up while brushing snow off their other cars. Security footage shows a man walking past their home before returning a few minutes later.
“He opened the van door, and it squeaks,” Tina explained. “That sound made my husband turn around, but by then, the man was already in the van and driving off.”
The stolen black van contained power tools, a cell phone, and the family’s house keys. Tina said the family has since changed their locks for safety.
Tina is relieved the security system she installed after a previous attempted theft captured the incident, but she’s still hopeful the van can be recovered.
“I know the tools will be gone,” Tina said. “I’m just hoping the van comes back in one piece and nobody gets hurt.”
She is urging anyone with information about the van or the suspect to contact Cleveland Police.
