The Cleveland Clinic has announced the elimination of 114 administrative management roles as part of a restructuring effort to address financial challenges facing the healthcare sector.

In a statement released Friday, the organization clarified that the layoffs are not concentrated in a single department but affect various nonclinical administrative manager positions across the system.
“These reductions are a response to ongoing financial pressures within the healthcare industry,” the Cleveland Clinic said in its statement.
Employees impacted by the layoffs, referred to as caregivers by the Cleveland Clinic, will have the option to apply for other positions within the organization or accept severance packages.
Despite these cuts, the Cleveland Clinic highlighted its ongoing growth and hiring efforts. The organization currently employs approximately 83,000 caregivers and is actively recruiting for numerous roles throughout its health system.
The clinic remains committed to maintaining and expanding its workforce while navigating the financial realities of the healthcare industry.
