Cleveland police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night on the city’s east side.
Officers responded to reports of an injured person in the area of Decker Avenue near East 79th Street shortly after 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a 40-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released his identity.
Authorities have not disclosed any details about possible arrests or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
