CLEVELAND — Cleveland Municipal Court will be closed to the public on Monday following a reported “cyber incident,” according to court officials.

Deputy Court Administrator Mike Negray released a statement Sunday confirming that an investigation is underway to determine the nature and extent of the incident. As a precaution, affected internal systems and computer software platforms have been taken offline.
Officials have not disclosed details regarding the cause of the incident or how long the court will remain closed.
“We take cyber threats extremely seriously and are working expeditiously to rectify the situation as soon as possible,” Negray stated.
Updates on the court’s reopening and any further developments are expected as the investigation continues.
