Willoughby Hills police are investigating the deaths of a local couple found inside their home Sunday morning.
According to authorities, officers responded to a residence on the 2800 block of Orchard Drive around 10 a.m. for a welfare check. A family friend had contacted police after receiving a concerning message from the couple. Upon arrival, officers discovered the couple, both 64 years old, deceased in an upstairs bedroom. Police also reported a firearm was found at the scene.
Investigators believe the incident is isolated and poses no ongoing threat to the public. However, the circumstances surrounding their deaths are being treated as suspicious.
