A fatal crash in Huron County on Thursday evening claimed the life of a 35-year-old man, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Authorities identified the victim as Daniel Palko Jr., of Amherst. The crash occurred around 7:47 p.m. on State Route 60.
Officials say Palko was driving south when his vehicle veered off the right side of the road. The car then struck a cement culvert, went airborne, and crashed into multiple trees, ejecting the driver, according to a news release.
Investigators believe speed and impairment may have contributed to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
