Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Cleveland’s West Side

A 35-year-old man died Friday evening following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Pearl Road near Oak Park Avenue, according to Cleveland police and EMS officials. Responding crews found a heavily damaged vehicle and a motorcycle that had been virtually destroyed.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification.

A second individual involved in the crash, a man in his 60s, declined treatment from emergency medical personnel.

Pearl Road was temporarily closed between Germaine and Oak Park Avenues as investigators from the Cleveland Police Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
