Ohio University police are searching for a man accused of raping a student early Sunday morning at Sargent Hall.
According to a campus crime alert issued by the university, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. The victim reported meeting the suspect Saturday night at the Red Brick Tavern in Athens. After walking her back to her dorm, the man allegedly engaged in non-consensual sexual conduct. The victim resisted, and the suspect fled the scene, police said.
The suspect identified himself as “Jude” and is described as approximately six feet tall with an average build and shoulder-length brown hair.
