Authorities are searching for a Cleveland man accused of sexually assaulting an elderly woman in an incident that left her hospitalized with serious injuries.
According to Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County, 5’7″, 150-pound James Collins is wanted on a warrant related to the June 2024 assault. Investigators say Collins allegedly raped the woman, causing multiple injuries that required extensive medical treatment and a prolonged hospital stay.
The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department has listed Collins as a fugitive and believes he may be connected to the 9500 block of Kolar Avenue on Cleveland’s east side.
Crime Stoppers is urging anyone with information about Collins’ whereabouts to call 216-252-7463. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and those with credible information leading to an arrest and conviction may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
This remains an active investigation, and authorities are continuing their efforts to locate and apprehend the suspect.
